GMRPC Junior Rifle Program
The goal of this program is to teach the basics of 3-position rifle, including safety, form, and teamwork. Anyone 18 years old and younger is invited to shoot as long as they can handle an air rifle safely (usually 9-10yo). This program is similar to the NRA marksmanship qualification program which sets progressive goals through prone, kneeling, and standing. The program starts in September once school starts and meets weekly through the end of the year. If you would like more information or have any questions you can reach out to Jason at jasontspaude@gmail.com.

ABOUT
The Grand Mere Rifle and Pistol Club was organized in 1930 and is affiliated with the National Rifle Association and the St. Joseph Valley Rifle and Pistol Association.
The club was incorporated on January 19th, 1949. The club merged with the Twin Cities Rifle Club in 1955 and the membership constructed the present building in Lincoln Township on Ridge Road. in Stevensville Michigan.
Since it's completion there has been continuous Rifle and Pistol competition.
On February 22nd, 1997 a fire broke out in the attic, destroying the club, leaving just the walls and fireplace remaining. The clubhouse and range were rebuilt to it's present condition by the club members.
In 2013 the range was closed for several months while the backstop was rebuilt by a local fabricator using armor plate that was donated to the club by the National Guard Armory in Dowagiac Michigan. This upgrade allowes the use of jacketed ammunition for the first time in the club's history.
In 2014 the Club wasdesignated a non-smoking facility. Smoking is allowed outside the club. No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the premises.
The firing range is 50 feet long with eight (8) firing points and is equipped with turning targets.
The club is open 24/7 to all members and their guests, except during scheduled shooting events and training classes.
